Texture Synthesis in Image Processing and Computer Graphics

Texture synthesis is very important in image processing and computer graphics. It is not only useful in generating background of images. it can also be mapped to the surfaces of 3D objects to produce esthetic effect. A texture mapping system developed in national Tsing Hua university is introduced. This system has profound potentiality of development in either advertising design or special effect management.
