Call for Special Issues
Procedure for Proposing a Special Issue
- JISE welcomes special issue proposal on emerging topics of particular interests to the information science and engineering community. A special issue must have at least four guest editors; among them at least one has affiliation outside Taiwan, and one associate editor of JISE.
- The decision on special issue proposals will be made twice a year, in March and September, by the JISE editorial board.
- All papers must be reviewed according to the JISE procedures and standards. The participating associate editor and managing editors will be responsible for accepting the final manuscripts.
- A special issue must have a public "call for papers" available at least two months beforehand.
Procedure for Proposing Conference Collaboration
- JISE welcomes the collaboration with conferences to publish their outstanding papers. Interested conference organizers should send your proposal, including the web site of conference, and a list of 5 representative papers of previous conferences as we prefer to work with conferences that have a longer history.
- Once the collaboration proposal is approved, a submission web page will be prepared and the conference may include JISE in their conference notice.
- The collaboration conference can recommend up to ten papers for possible publication. All papers must be reviewed according to the JISE procedures and standards. The managing editors will be responsible for accepting the final manuscripts.
- Once accepted, the papers will be published in regular issues (with a mark: a selected paper from *** conference, if requested).
Please send all correspondences and inquires to Ms. Chris Tseng (chris@iis.sinica.edu.tw).
